Week 4

Week 4 at St. Mary’s School brought new challenges and learning opportunities. I continued teaching units and measurement to Class 8 and atomic models to Class 9, and this week included administering and grading a test paper for both classes. The students’ responses offered useful insights into their understanding of the topics.

An important part of the week was the observation by my mentor. The feedback provided was valuable: my mentor noted my effective engagement with students and the clarity of my explanations. However, they also highlighted areas for improvement, such as incorporating more interactive activities and better managing classroom time during lessons.

Alongside teaching and assessment, I continued with my morning, lunch, and noon duties. Morning duty allowed me to set a positive tone for the day, while lunch and noon duties offered a chance to observe students in a more relaxed setting, helping me better understand their social interactions and daily experiences.

Overall, this week was a significant learning period, combining practical teaching experience with valuable feedback from my mentor. The observations and grading provided deeper insights into my teaching practice and student progress, which will guide my future improvements.
