Internship 10/7/24

Title: A Day in the Life of a Teacher Trainee: From Kitchen Duty to Chemistry Class

Today was another eventful day in my teaching internship at St. Mary's School. My morning started bright and early with kitchen duty. Fellow trainees and I chopped potatoes and onions to prepare meals for the upper primary students. It's always rewarding to contribute to the school community beyond the classroom.

The highlight of my day came during the 6th period when I had the opportunity to teach Class 9Q. Our topic was the periodic table, a fundamental concept in chemistry. We delved into its history, focusing on Dmitri Mendeleev's groundbreaking work in organizing the elements.

To make the lesson engaging, I prepared a PowerPoint presentation that visually illustrated the evolution of the periodic table. The interactive session that followed was particularly exciting. Students participated enthusiastically, asking insightful questions and sharing their observations.

Overall, it was a fulfilling day that showcased the diverse responsibilities of a teacher - from ensuring students' nutrition to igniting their curiosity about the building blocks of our universe.
