Report: Back to School Teaching Practice Phase 2

Today marked the beginning of Teaching Practice Phase 2 for the cohort of 16 teacher trainees assigned to St. Mary's School for the next 6 weeks from June 12 to july 31.All trainees reported to the school administration block at 9:00am to collect their class schedules and timetables from Ms. Anish sir, the Teaching Practice Coordinator. 

At 9:40am, the full group was welcomed by the HM,Mrs. Rani, in a short orientation meeting held in the staff room. Mrs. Francis outlined the school's key policies, rules, and expectations for the teaching practice rounds. She encouraged the trainees to embrace this invaluable practical experience as an opportunity for professional growth.

Following the principal's address, each trainee was assigned to their respective cooperating teacher's classroom. . The cooperating teachers provided logistical information about each class, sharing insights into student strengths, weaknesses, and differing learning abilities.

Overall, it was a smooth and productive first day at St. Mary's. The school has created a supportive environment for us as teacher trainees to flourish during this critical stage of our training. We look forward to formally taking over teaching responsibilities for our assigned classes starting next week.

Week 6 at St. Mary’s School was focused on new topics and continued engagement. I introduced the Periodic Table to Class 9, which sparked significant interest and curiosity among the students. They were enthusiastic about learning the organization of elements and their properties, and the interactive discussions made the lessons engaging. For Class 8, I continued with the Motion chapter. The students showed steady progress and comprehension, and I used various activities to help them grasp the concepts more effectively.
