Field Trip Report As part of our coursework this semester, our class went on an educational field trip to several sites of historical and cultural significance in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. Our first stop was the village of Chitharal. We visited a buddha temple first. The atmosphere over there was very serene and calm. We saw some structures with cultural significance. View from the top of chitharal was amazing.. After Chitharal, we traveled to a fort, which had so many historical importance . While just ruins remain today, one could still get a sense of the fort's impressive architecture and grandeur in its prime. Our Nadaniel sir gave us an informative tour, explaining the fort's strategic location and defensive design principles used in its construction. Our final spot was Kanyakumari.located at the southernmost tip of the Indian subcontinent. The major highlight was visiting the famous Kanyakumari Temple and Vivekananda Rock Memorial.
